Vadim Savchenko, otherwise known as Vadz was born in
In 1995 Vadim found a new form of creativity through music. It was his non-standard view of simple things that provided his conception of musical originality and independence. From 1996 until 1998 he attempted umpteen efforts of self-expression using his PC and the first music creating software, he describes this as his hardcore-music period. Step by step, Vadz caught onto synthesis and further upgraded his production techniques. Vadz found the software available at that time left much to be desired but somehow he managed to find something interesting: Emulators of modular analog synthesizers, which he still enjoys using today, finding it more flexible and suitable than anything else to realise his ideas. Vadz next step to understanding synthesis was the purchase of an old Russian “Polivoks” synthesizer from the school shamus. Only then did his eyes (or rather his ears) open and from 1999 to 2001 he wrote a lot of experimental and individual tracks. In 2001 Vadz started producing techno and by 2002 he had accumulated loads of material and plugged into the Internet looking for people interested in his music. He searched for labels open for new names and challenging ideas and began sending tracks to everybody who would listen. Vadz first two records were released on Television records In 2004 (Spiderman & Pisdez). The third record on Television (Rust-Off), including two rather fearsome tracks, was released in March 2005. Hence, all three works accumulate various materials, demonstrating different ideas and conceptions of the author. After that, the long-felt crisis of the music industry finally burst and Vadz turned to Digital releases. Besides sound-production, Vadz is one half the Phubriq movement in
As a DJ vadz spins techno and electro and prefers not to get dragged into playing the newest biggets releases, he would rather dig through the crates and play the releases he feels reflect his inner world. Releated websites: www.myspace.com/vadz | www.phubriq.net |
