I've always been a bit obsessed with music.
I have been bought up on a wide range of styles, but synth-pop,
industrial, Queen's Greatest Hits and Top of the Pops seems like the
best way to describe it.
I discovered the free party 'scene' in my hometown of Shrewsbury at
the age of about 16, and this lead me to pick up a copy of the silvery
shiny record that was Dave Clarke's World Service compilation. When I
heard this i realised that this is what i had been looking for,
musically; All the harsh repetitive noise of industrial, but without
the horrid vocals!
Since then, i have been mixing records.
Nowadays I use a laptop and Ableton to mix and produce, originally
because records are taking over my house... and they are too heavy.
I run a monthly electro & breaks night in Manchester called Electrode
(www.electrode.org.uk) alongside my other 5 cohorts Si, Edd, Joel,
Rupes & James. We aim to keep asses shaking all night long to a
collection of breaks, electro, ghettotech, techno and wonk being
playing by the freshest talent in the field. It's all about the party
:P
