BSP is a collaboration between Tim Smyth (Thatboytim of Takeover Records) and artist/musician Stephen Rennicks (Secret Society, Ancient Records, Drexciya Research Lab etc etc!) which began late 2004 when they both lived in Dublin. Started with the intention to try to marry the more abstract sound of Stephen's Secret Society Sound and the rhythmic and bass obsessions of Tim their first track "Curl" appeared on Takeover 6 "Lowslung" - not bowing to dancefloor demands, but still acknowledging their influence. The rest of the LP was formed from a combination of collaborative ventures and solo material produced over the next 2 years which fitted the criteria for the brooding, yet warm and evocative vibe designed to touch your dark hearts and rumble your speakers.
